“Policy and Market Dynamics for Sustainable Aviation Fuels”

16 & 17 March 2027 / Berlin, Germany

German Aviation Research Society (GARS), PtX Lab Lausitz and IU International University of Applied Sciences invite submissions for the 2nd SAF research workshop, taking place on 16–17 March 2027 in Berlin.

The first workshop in March 2026 focused on the economics of SAF. As blending mandates such as ReFuelEU Aviation move from legislation to implementation, this edition turns to the policy dimension: how SAF frameworks shape market outcomes, and where adjustments may be needed as they mature.

Please send an abstract (approx. 300 words) and a short CV to Tolga Ülkü (tolga.uelkue@iu.org) by 31 December 2026. Accepted abstracts are planned to be published in a book of abstracts.

Participation is free of charge; GARS membership is recommended.
